Although not technically in Queensland, Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School serves many students of the southern Gold Coast. It is a co-educational independent Anglican school, and offers Early Learning (Preschool) through to Year 12

The Pacific Coast Christian School is also located just across the border in NSW, but many children from the Southern end of the Gold Coast attend the school. It is a Christian school, from Prep to Year 12.

Pacific Hope School located inside Pacific Coast Christian School, just across the border in Tweed Heads, is a caring Christian school community that caters for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or a mild to moderate intellectual disability, from Year 1 to Year 12.

Mastery Schools Australia is a new concept Middle School that focusses exclusively on the needs of students Year 4-10 who have fallen behind or are experiencing learning difficulties, with a particular focus on supporting students with dyslexia. They aim to develop the academic foundations and resilience that will allow students to re-enter mainstream education. There are three campuses on the Gold Coast, located in Coolangatta, Varsity Lakes and in Southport.

Arcadia College is a co-educational secondary school (Year 7 to Year 12) located in Robina. As a Special Assistance School, they cater for a diverse range of students’ learning, emotional, psychological and physical needs. The college doesn’t charge school tuition fees, just a levy of $250 per term to ensure students have access to quality resources and facilities.

The Gold Coast’s newest Catholic primary school, Star of the Sea School opened in Merrimac in 2022 with an initial intake of students from Prep to Year 3. An extra year level will be added each year until 2026. The school is planned to accommodate approximately 550 students from Prep to Year 6.
